F1 24 Driver Ratings

The 2024 F1 season is well underway, and with confirmation of this year’s game excitement is starting to build. Among the many questions fans have, one of the biggest is who’ll come out on top when it comes to the F1 24 driver ratings.

Latest news: F1 24 driver ratings confirmed

To celebrate the launch of F1 24, EA has confirmed the driver ratings for this year's F1 game. As is traditional, the drivers were challenged to guess each other's ratings during the Imola Grand Prix.

As with previous games, F1 24's driver ratings are calculated using four metrics: Racecraft, Experience, Pace, and Awareness. These are combined to create an average overall rating.

Every stat is just as important as the others. Without pace, drivers won't be able to overtake on the straights, even if they have experience and racecraft. A driver with low awareness is also likely to crash out at any point, or crash into you.

So who are the winners when it comes to F1 24's driver ratings?

Top stars

When it comes to first place, Max Verstappen unsurprisingly takes the title with a 96 rating, matching F1 24. The three-time world champion exceeded all expectations last year, winning 19 out of 23 races while setting new records along the way.

Fernando Alonso finished in second place last year in F1 23. While we were expecting his rating to slip in F1 24, he retains second place with an overall 92 driver rating, followed by Ferrari drivers Carlos Sainz (89) and Charles Leclerc (89).

Following his emotional Miami GP win, McLaren driver Lando Norris sees his overall rating increase to 89, while his Australian teammate gets an overall 84 rating after having the best rookie season since Lewis Hamilton in 2007.

Speaking of Hamilton, we predicted a slight dip for the seven-time champion. The last couple of seasons have not been kind to Mercedes, and this is reflected in his 89 overall rating, which sees him just miss the top five.

His teammate George Russell is next at 87. Despite Mercedes finishing second in the constructor's championship, 2023 was a tricky season for Russell, being outmatched by his more experienced teammate.

Mid-pack

Red Bull might be the hot team right now, but Perez was forced to rely on his car's speed to make up for a poor qualifying session too many times last year. Despite this, Perez's overall rating has increased to 87.

Alpine drivers Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon make up the midfield with 84 and 83 ratings respectively alongside Alex Albon (85), Daniel Riciardo (82) and Nico Hulkenberg (82)

Backmarkers

There are no rookies on the grid this year, but unfortunately, someone still has to be bottom of the pack. As we predicted, Logan Sargent languishes at the back of the pack with an overall rating of 70 after a rocky debut season last year.
