Based on the terrifying Isle of Man Tourist Trophy road race TT Isle of Man - Ride on the Edge 3 was announced last November.
We’ve only seen glimpses of the game in edited trailers, but now publisher Nacon has revealed the first uncut Ride on the Edge 3 gameplay footage.
TT Isle of Man - Ride on the Edge 3 gameplay reveal trailer
Our first look at Ride on the Edge 3 gameplay takes us on a thrilling high-speed ride through the first section of the Snaefell Mountain Course while narrowly avoiding past trees and buildings at over 200 mph.
We also get a look at the various camera views including the third-person chase camera and an immersive helmet camera. As the scenery rushes past, the sense of speed looks terrific.
Visually, Ride on the Edge 3 looks similar to the last game. This isn’t surprising because, while RiMS Racing developer Raceward Studio is handling Ride on the Edge 3, the game runs on the KT Racing engine used in Ride on the Edge 2 and WRC Generations.
Presumably, this means KT Racing's 1:1 scale version of Snaefell Mountain Course is being reused in the third game.
If navigating the treacherous mountain course wasn’t already challenging enough, Nacon has also confirmed you can race in the race. In real life, the Tourist Trophy doesn’t run if it rains because the conditions are too dangerous.
Outside the official Tourist Trophy race, one of the new standout features is a new Open Roads free roam mode where riders can explore 124 miles of road on the Isle of Man. Hopefully the new free roam mode will be shown off in videos closer to release.
Release date
