After Forza Motorsport stole the show at yesterday’s Xbox & Bethesda Developer_Direct, Playground Games is shining the light on Forza Horizon 5's next update.

In the first Forza Monthly and Let’s ¡Go! streams of 2023, Playground Games lifted the bonnet on the new Japanese Automotive Series starting next week, revealing the new reward cars and Festival Playlist challenges players can look forward to.

2023 Nissan Z debuting in Forza Horizon 5 Japanese Automotive Series

Celebrating Japan’s illustrious car culture, Forza Horizon 5 Japanese Automotive starts next week on 2 February.

As teased in the recent Torbens Tuesday, one of the highlights of the series is the 2023 Nissan Z making its Forza debut. Nissan’s new Z sports cars is yours to own in the Summer Festival playlist.

It’s not just contemporary cars, though. As well as the all-new Z car, the legendary Nissan Silvia S15 ’00 is joining the roster along with the Toyota Sports 800 kei car in the new series.

Players can also fit 23 new stylish rims from Japanese brands 5Zigen, Advan, Gram Lights, and Enkei.

Create your own car parks

To help you practice your drifting skills, EventLab is also getting 57 new parts that let you create your own multi-storey car parks. You can even add spirals to slide around along with props like speed bumps and barriers.

Reward cars

As for the new Series Progress cars, the Nissan GTR ’20 returns from Series 5 earned at 80 points along with the Subaru 22B at 160 points.

Summer

Headlining the Summer Festival Playlist is the Nissan Z ’23 (20 points) and Toyota AT38 (40 points) Season Progress cars.

You can also win the Toyota Trueno, Mitsubishi Lancer MR ’04, Nissan GT-R ’17, and Honda Civic ’74.

Autumn

Autumn’s Season Progress cars are the Toyota MR2 ’95 (20 points) and Subaru Legacy RS (40 points). Other reward cars this season are the Honda Civic, Toyota 86, and Mazda RX-7 ‘97.

Winter

Winter’s Season Progress cars are the Mitsubishi Galant VR-4 (20 points) and Toyota AT37 (40 points). Other reward cars you can win are the Mazda RX-7 ’90, Acura Integra, Subaru BRZ, Nissan Titan, and Mitsubishi GTO.

Spring

Finally, Spring gives you the Toyota Sports 800 #65 (20 points) and Nissan Sentra (40 points) as Season Progress reward cars.

Completing challenges also earns you the Honda NSX-R GT, Nissan GT-R ’97, Subaru WRX ’08, Mazda MX-5 ’16, and Nissan Silvia ’98.

Horizon Wilds Takeover

Dedicated to Ken Block, the Horizon Wilds Takeover will bring back the Stadium Stunt Park last seen in Series 5 back in March last year, and will also add new cars, decorations, and collectables.
