Forza Horizon 5’s new FORDZathon Series has only just started, but Playground Games is already teasing what players can expect in the next series starting in February.
Forza Horizon 5 Japanese Automotive Series teased
In a blog post, Playground Games confirmed that Forza Horizon 5 Series 17 will be called Japanese Automotive.
According to the blog post, the next series will celebrate Japan’s automotive scene by “introducing new cars, a new collectible and new EventLab props” along with new challenges.
A teaser for Forza Horizon 5 Japanese Automotive can also be found via the in-game coming soon tab.
No other details were revealed, but the Forza Horizon 5 Japanese Automotive will likely be similar to the German Automotive Excellence Series. This means we can expect a handful of new-to-Forza reward cars from Japan.
2023 Nissan Z coming to Forza Horizon 5
One of these reward cars is expected to be the all-new 2023 Nissan Z; the successor to the Nissan 370Z.
Last November, names of three new-to-Forza cars were revealed in clues for the most recent Torben Tuesday crossword: the Cupra Urban Rebel, Lamborghini Sian Roadster, and Nissan Z.
The Cupra Urban Rebel concept and Lamborghini Sian were gifted to players as rewards in last month’s Horizon Holidays Series. That just leaves the Nissan Z. As this is a new Japanese car, it makes sense for it to debut in the Japanese Automotive Series.
Powered by a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 sending 400 horsepower to the rear wheels, the new-generation Nissan Z has already appeared in Gran Turismo 7, Rocket League, and Real Racing 3. The Nissan Z Proto concept is also playable in Need for Speed Unbound.
Forza Horizon 5 Japanese Automotive start date
Forza Horizon 5 Japanese Automotive will begin on 2 February.
More details including a full festival playlist breakdown and new reward cars will likely be shared in January’s Forza Monthly and Let’s Go streams later this month.
