Spring has sprung in Forza Horizon 5 and it’s the last season of the Japanese Automotive series. With a new Photo Challenge, a Treasure Hunt to complete, and seven legendary Japanese cars to collect, there’s plenty to see and do in the Forza Horizon 5 Japanese Automotive Spring Festival playlist.
What does this week's Festival Playlist have in store for FH5 players? Let's find out.
Forza Horizon 5 Japanese Automotive Spring
The Forza Horizon 5 Japanese Automotive Spring season starts on 23 February at 2:30pm GMT / 9:30am ET. You then have seven days to win every reward car before the season ends on 2 March at 2:30pm GMT / 9:30am ET.
The Horizon Wilds Takeover series will then begin on the same day with reward cars and Festival Playlist challenges honouring Ken Block.
Reward cars
In terms of Season Progress cars, the Japanese Automotive concludes with the classic Toyota Sports 800 ’65 (20 points) and Nissan Sentra Nismo ’18 sports cars.
Five more legendary Japanese cars can be won in the Spring Festival Playlist challenges.
Completing The Trial unlocks the Honda NSX-R GT ’05 while the Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec '97 can be yours for conquering the Playground Games Survival event.
Other cars up for grabs are the Subaru Impreza WRX STI ’08 and Mazda MX-5 ’16 for completing the Seasonal Challenges. Because you can’t have a Japanese car-themed playlist without the Mazda MX-5, Japan’s quintessential sports car.
There’s also a bonus reward car to be won in this week’s Horizon Open Challenge: completing a Horizon Open Drift Event in any Japanese vehicle gives you the Nissan Silvia K's AERO ’98 rear-wheel drive sports car.
You can also win four Super Wheelspins in the main Festival Playlist along with a Driftacular Forza Link.
There are no Hot Wheels challenge reward cars this week, though you can still win an extra Super Wheelspin and a Hot Wheels Suit for your player avatar.
Don’t forget this is your last chance to earn enough points to win the Series reward cars. Earn 80 points to win the Nissan GT-R '20 and 160 points to add the Subaru Impreza 22B STi ’98 to your collection.
Photo Challenge: #SecretHondaWay
The final Japanese Automotive Photo Challenge requires you to photograph any Honda or Acura next to the stone lanterns in the secret cave near Ek' Balam. Your reward is the Too soon, Junior Forza Link.
Treasure Hunt: Supraman
There’s also a Treasure Hunt to complete this week. The Supraman Treasure Hunt gives you the following clue to solve: “Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it's supraman!”
Solve the clue and find the hidden treasure chest on the map to rack up an easy 100 points.
