  • Quick Answer: Forza Horizon 6 releases May 19, 2026, on Xbox and PC. A PlayStation 5 version follows later in 2026; handheld support includes Steam Deck and Ally.

Forza Horizon 6 is all set to launch on May 19, 2026, with the $119.99 edition granting access to the game 5 days before the said date. It appears to address some of the major shortcomings of the last title, like progression, and based on early gameplay, improvements can be seen in other areas, such as engine sound.

No doubt the open-world racer will be on the wishlist for many. Like most Microsoft releases in recent years, Forza Horizon 6 will find itself on PlayStation.

Here are all the other platforms the game will release on.

Forza Horizon 6 will first release on Xbox Series X|S and PC (via Steam and Xbox PC App) on May 19, 2026. A PlayStation 5 version is confirmed for a later date.

When is Forza Horizon 6 coming to PlayStation 5?

Forza Horizon 6 is confirmed to launch on PlayStation 5 sometime in 2026. Playground Games has yet to provide an exact release date.

According to rumors, Microsoft isn't withholding the release on purpose for a timed-exclusive strategy. The Forza Horizon 6 PlayStation 5 port is just not ready. Fable, made by the same studio, is launching on PlayStation 5 on the same date as other platforms.

Logically, this means the PlayStation 5 version could launch within a few months after the Xbox release. Unless, of course, there are some hiccups during the development that delay the port.

Is Forza Horizon 6 Releasing on Nintendo Switch 2?

Forza Horizon 6 will not be available on Nintendo Switch 2 on launch. There are no rumors or hints as to whether the title is even planned to be ported over to Nintendo's handheld.

Microsoft has made multiple statements over the years saying that it remains committed to supporting Nintendo Switch 2. It all began in 2022 when the company signed a 10-year binding agreement to release Call of Duty for Nintendo Switch. They have yet to release Call of Duty on any Nintendo platforms.

Granted, the Call of Duty story is a little different, but now with Microsoft being a de facto "third-party" publisher, nothing is holding them back from releasing their games on Nintendo Switch 2.

The hardware could be an issue, even though there have been plenty of current-gen exclusives that have found their way to Nintendo's latest handheld.

Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Microsoft Flight Simulator, and Starfield are some games from Xbox that have been long-rumored to hit Nintendo Switch 2.

Forza Horizon 6 Steam Deck Status

In their launch FAQ, Playground Games said, "Discover Japan anywhere, at any time, with support for Xbox ROG Ally and Ally X and other PC handheld devices." That does hint that Forza Horizon 6 will be officially on Steam Deck, but performance is anyone's guess unless the title gets Verified status.

Technically, you can play Forza Horizon 6 without any support, as any title available on Steam is playable on the Steam Deck (except for some with anti-cheat). Performance, especially for a demanding game like FH6, is the only worry.

We'll have to wait until the title is live to know how Valve's handheld holds up. Since ROG Ally X was specifically mentioned, we expect it to run fine on that handheld.

That's everything about all the platforms Forza Horizon 6 will release on and support.
