This new lap time challenge in GT7 takes players to the WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, a real-world circuit-type track based on a real-life location in the U.S. that's around 3.6 km long.

In this race, you are allowed to use the Chevrolet Corvette CX.R VGT Concept, the car that was recently introduced in update 1.62. This car is designed so that it can be enjoyed on the streets as well as on the track; it's both futuristic and recognizable as a pure Corvette.

This concept car has key Corvette design elements, including a forward-lunging nose, a pronounced horizontal 'chine' line delineating the upper and lower bodywork, and the dual-element tail lights.

However, despite it being quite a capable and powerful car, there are some limitations. The car should be equipped with racing soft tires and a wide body, and nitrous/overtake is prohibited.

Here are the settings for this online time trial in GT7:

  • BoP/Tuning Prohibited: On
  • Car Settings: Specified
  • Track Limit: Normal
  • Shortcut Penalty: Invalidate Time

Currently, the top contender is racing around the 1:04.784 mark with a DR of A+ and an SR of S.

These lap time challenges are updated every Thursday, with each challenge available for around two weeks.
