The Gran Turismo World Series (GTWS) 2025 is back with its second live preliminary round, taking place in Berlin, Germany, on Saturday, September 20. The world's top drivers will compete in high-stakes races in the Manufacturers Cup and Nations Cup at the first-ever live Gran Turismo event in the German capital.
Besides the competition, Polyphony Digital is offering in-game rewards for fans who participate through Gran Turismo 7. Here's a complete breakdown of what the event is, how you can join, and what rewards you can earn.
What is the Gran Turismo World Series?
The Gran Turismo World Series is the official global esports championship for Gran Turismo, making the best virtual drivers race against each other. Competitors will be able to race in two formats:
- Nations Cup: Drivers represent their home country or territory.
- Manufacturers Cup: Drivers compete under the banner of major car manufacturers.
Each round will be hosted as a live event, combining elite gameplay, strategy, and drama. The final showdown is scheduled for later this year in Los Angeles, and the Berlin round is Round 2 of the 2025 season.
How to Enter the Campaigns?
Gran Turismo 7 is running two special campaigns during the Berlin event, and both of these can be accessed via special tiles on the World Map screen:
1. Viewers Gift Campaign
- Navigate to the World Map's upper-right campaign tile.
- Select Watch Program → Watch Stream.
- You don't have to watch the stream in-game to register; all you have to do is click the button.
- Entry is open from the beginning of the broadcasts (1400 UTC on September 20 for the Manufacturers Cup and 1700 UTC on September 20 for the Nations Cup) to the closing time (0859 UTC on October 6).
2. Predict the Winners Campaign
- On the World Map, locate the banner for the WINNERS Campaign.
- Make predictions on who will win the final races for the Manufacturers Cup and Nations Cup.
- Entries are open from Friday, September 5, until the start of each race.
Rewards You Can Earn
Both campaigns offer valuable in-game rewards, and these range from exclusive cars to millions of credits.
Viewers' Gift Rewards
- Manufacturers Cup Stream → Receive the Gr.3 car of the winning brand.
- Nations Cup Stream → Receive the Porsche 962C, complete with a special livery from the winning nation.
- Rewards will be automatically delivered on Tuesday, October 7.
Predict the Winners' Rewards
- Correctly guess the Manufacturers Cup winner → 1,000,000 Cr.
- Correctly guess Nations Cup winner → 1,000,000 Cr.
- Guess both correctly → 2,000,000 Cr. total.
- Rewards will be delivered on Monday, September 22, and can be collected from the Gifts tab in your Garage.
