The last Thursday of the month brings the much-anticipated Gran Turismo 7 update 1.32 patch notes! The April update has arrived at last and brings new cars and some new events for players to take on at long last.
After March's physics overhaul, there aren't too many changes under the hood with this update, but the patch notes provided by Polyphony are thorough as always.
Let's take a look at what players can enjoy in Gran Turismo 7 right now!
New Menu Book & events
It's been a long time since a Menu Book, the replacement for a single-player campaign in GT7, was added to the game. With update 1.32 comes Menu Book #47 "Super Formula".
This asks players to finish third or better in three races with a Super Formula car. At Fuji, Watkins Glen, and Sainte-Croix. The reward for completing this is a six-star roulette ticket.
The Fuji race has a 200,000 credit reward for winning, while Watkins Glen and Sainte-Croix give 160,000 credits. That's a good payout, but far from the best in the game and not one players are likely to come back to.
There is another additional event added outside of the menu book, this is a Hypercar Parade race at Interlagos that has a 95,000 credit reward.
What else is new?
Outside of the menu book, and two new extra menus, not much has changed with this update. Of course, four new cars were added: The Jaguar XJ220 '92, Mercedes-AMG GT3 '20, and the Honda & Toyota versions of the Dallara SF23 Super Formula. But that's really it.
The Fuji International Speedway has received a facelift, with a few trackside items being updated, and the sound has been adjusted on the Audi RS 5 Turbo DTM '19.
Overall though, it's an update that is light on substance.
