Gran Turismo 7's latest patch, Update 1.62, is officially here, and it brings a mix of futuristic concepts, quirky classics, and new events to keep players engaged.
The update is currently available and continues Polyphony Digital's recent run of monthly content drops. But while there's plenty to enjoy, fans may again be left disappointed by the absence of fresh track content.
New Cars
Update 1.62 introduces four new vehicles, ranging from hypercar concepts to an offbeat French oddity:
Afeela 1 Signature (2026)

Sony Honda Mobility's 1st production model arises as the follow-up to the prototype already in the game. It combines futuristic design with an all-electric configuration, emphasizing technology and in-car entertainment.
Chevrolet Corvette CX Concept (2025)

A 2,000 hp, fully electric hypercar featuring quad motors, advanced aerodynamics, and a fan-based downforce system.
Chevrolet Corvette CX.R Vision Gran Turismo

The hybrid brother of the CX with a racetrack purpose that combines three electric motors with a twin-turbo V8 to produce 2000 hp.
Renault Avantime 3.0 V6 24V (2002)

The quirky French "monoform coupé" that blends MPV practicality with styling, powered by a 210 hp V6. With their potential for hybrid racing and futuristic electric speed, the two Corvette concepts are the main attraction. Meanwhile, the Afeela 1 also makes its GT7 debut in production form, and the Avantime delivers that trademark Gran Turismo "quirky car" factor.
New Races & Events

The new cars are directly linked to three new World Circuit events:
- European Sunday Cup 400 at the Circuit de Sainte-Croix (B Reverse) - suited for the Renault Avantime.
- Japanese 4WD Challenge 600 at Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta - likely featuring the Afeela 1.
- The World Touring Car 900 at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps is expected to spotlight one of the Corvette concepts.
In addition, Extra Menu Book No. 47, "Japanese Racing Pioneers," has been added for collectors at Café level 33+, requiring the Honda S800 '66, Nissan Skyline GT-R '71, and Toyota 2000GT '67.
New Scapes

Developers have also thought about photography enthusiasts with this update. The Tokyo Bay joins the Scapes roster with 24 new locations, ranging from industrial views to iconic spots near the Rainbow Bridge.
The Ongoing Wait for New Tracks
Despite all these amazing additions, Gran Turismo 7 lacks what the community has been asking for for a long time, i.e., new circuits. Since the last new circuit was added, more than a year ago, the game has relied on new events and vehicles to keep things interesting. While the monthly update streak is appreciated, it is long overdue for the World Circuits option to be expanded.
The update 1.62 delivers a well-rounded package of cars, races, and scapes, headlined by the futuristic Corbett concepts and the production-ready Afeela 1. However, the series is still in dire need of new track content. But with Polyphone Digital showing consistency in monthly updates, fans hope the next big batch will finally add new venues to match the growing garage.
