F1 Manager 2024 has been officially revealed, with players now starting to ask the important questions. One of these is which platforms the game will be released on, with PlayStation 4 players all wanting to know if F1 Manager 2024 will be coming to last-gen platforms.
A new-look grid
F1 Manager 2024’s reveal comes with confirmation of a much-requested feature. Players can now take charge of their very own Formula 1 team, including signing sponsors, designing the car, and, of course, hiring drivers and staff.
Along with the new Create A Team mode, the AI in F1 Manager 2024 has also been overhauled to resemble the real F1 grid more closely. Racing looks and feels more immersive, and off the track, the AI is as ruthless as the real-life paddock.
Drivers and staff can now be poached by your rivals, so it’s up to you to keep everyone happy or be left in the dust of your championship nemesis. The last thing you want is to recreate Oscar Piastri’s infamous departure to McLaren in 2022.
Random mechanical failures can also happen during a race. Engines can blow up, or ERS systems can reboot without notice, keeping team principals on their toes at all times when planning out strategies.
So with the game shaping up to be the recovery drive the F1 Manager series needs, players are asking which platforms F1 Manager 2024 will be available on. In particular, fans are keen to find out if the game will be coming to PS4 this year.
Will F1 Manager be on PS4?
Despite all the innovation going into this year’s release, there is good news on whether F1 Manager 2024 will be coming to last-gen consoles.
F1 Manager 2024 will launch on PS4 alongside PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. With the game still utilizing Unreal Engine 4, there’s no reason for the series to begin excluding last-gen this year.
If the series deviated from the existing engine next year, then perhaps PS4 players would be left stranded on the grid. But for now, it’s good news for those still unable to upgrade their racing package to PS5. It's the same case for F1 24, as Codemasters isn't ready to abandon the last-generation consoles just yet.
