Monster Energy Supercross 5 has been out for a few months now. Milestone’s latest Monster Energy game was released back in March and is a solid step forward for the series. Five months later, Monster Energy Supercross 5 is being added to Sony’s PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscriptions.
Monster Energy Supercross 5 coming to PS Plus Extra and Premium
From 6 September, Monster Energy Supercross 5 will be available to download on the PlayStation Plus Extra and PlayStation Premium tier subscriptions at no extra cost. It will be available to download on PS4 and PS5, joining Milestone’s other dirt bike racer MXGP 2021.
In contrast to MXGP 2021’s outdoor off-road races, events in MESX5 take place in stadiums across the USA.
In our review, we found MESX5 to be a solid entry in the Monster Energy Supercross game series. MESX5 introduces a new Rider Shape System where rider injuries affect your performance after an awkward jump landing, as well as a Future Academy allowing newcomers to the series to hone their skills.
Two-stroke bikes are also now available in all modes and you can design your own tracks in the Rhythm Section Editor.
What other racing games are on PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium?
A PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium subscription costs £10.99 and £13.49 per month respectively. The Extra tier gives players access to a large selection of PS4 and PS5 titles, with new games added monthly. In addition to this, the Premium tier includes a selection of classic PS1, PS2, and PS3 titles.
There are many racing games available on PS Plus Extra and Premium including Assetto Corsa Competizione, Project CARS 2, and The Crew 2.
