Gran Turismo 7 players can look forward to another entry in the Vision GT Project, as Opel has confirmed the release of the Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo. While early indications suggest that both Opel and Vauxhall branding will return to the series, official confirmation notes that the car will only appear under Opel for now.
Opel and Vauxhall Set to Return to the Gran Turismo Franchise

The Vision GT program has historically been about bringing futuristic concepts to the track, and the Corsa GSE serves two purposes. It allows us to preview the seventh-generation Corsa, which is based on the STLA platform and re-introduces the GSE performance badge, which was once a staple of Opel in the 1980s.
The Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo comes equipped with 350kW electric motors on each axle that produce 800 hp in standard form. A temporary boost is also available, and it can add up to 80 hp for short bursts, bringing the total output to 880 hp.
And despite holding a massive 82 kWh battery, the car weighs just 1170 kg, allowing acceleration from 0 to 62 mph in two seconds with a top speed of 199 mph. Its dynamic features include aggressive ducting along with a big front wing design to maximize downforce.

Visually, the concept builds on Opel's modern "Compass" design language, which was initially introduced on the GT Experimental in 2018 and has since been offered in recent models like the Mokka. It's longer and wider than the current Corsa, making its performance focused while indicating the brand's future manufacturing goals.
The Corsa GSE Vision Gran Turismo will be unveiled at the IAA Mobility Show in Munich on September 8, followed by a display at the Gran Turismo World Series event in Berlin on September 20.
