Haas was the first team to show off its new F1 car for the 2023 season, and now Oracle Red Bull Rcing has revealed the new RB19 car we’ll be racing in F1 23 as the team seeks to secure a second consecutive Constructors Championship.
Verstappen will also be defending his Drivers' Championship title after dominating the 2022 season.
Red Bull F1 23
Unveiled during a live presentation in New York by Team Principal Christian Horner alongside team drivers Max Verstappen, Sergio Pérez, and Daniel Ricciardo, the Red Bull RB19 livery retains a familiar blue, yellow and red colour scheme like last year's RB18 car.
Subtle tweaks enhance the car’s aerodynamics and new tyres are fitted in line with new regulation changes.
Let's be honest though: it looks exactly the same.
With the RB18 being Red Bull’s most successful car in history, it’s fair to say the RB19 has a lot to live up to in defending the title from Mercedes and Ferrari.
Fans will also get to design three bespoke liveries for race in the USA. A judging panel will select the winning livery for the RB19 in Miami, Austin and Vegas.
A partnership will also see prominent EA Sports sponsorship branding adorn Max Verstappen’s racing helmet in the 2023 season.
Ford joins forces with Red Bull
Arriving in a Red Bull-themed electric Ford Mustang Mach-E, Ford President and CEO Jim Farley took to the stage to announce Ford is returning to F1 for the first time in over 20 years.
Ford is joining forces with Red Bull to develop a new-generation powertrain for Red Bull and AlphaTauri cars from 2023 to at least 2026, taking over from Honda.
Meeting F1 regulations, the new powertrain will utilise a 350kW electric motor and a new combustion engine able to accept fully sustainable fuels
F1 23 release date
Codemasters hasn’t revealed F1 23 yet, but we’re expecting this year’s F1 game to arrive in late June or early July looking at past releases.
