We’ll be honest, we didn’t expect The Crew 2 to be the most downloaded racing game on PlayStation in 2021. Ubisoft’s open-world racer launched in 2018, but The Crew 2 is still surprisingly popular thanks to Ivory Tower’s consistent content updates.
Last week saw the launch of Season 4 Episode 2: The Contractor featuring new off-road delivery missions as well as new vehicles. Now, the latest Live Summit has landed with new weekly events, challenges and a raft of rewards celebrating Chinese New Year.
Latest Live Summit celebrates Year of the Tiger
While the Rocket League Lucky Lanterns event isn’t returning this year, Lunar New Year-themed content is arriving in other racing games in its absence. This week, a new China Spirit DLC pack was released for Horizon Chase.
And now the latest Live Summit has landed in The Crew 2. Available from 26 January – 02 February, the Year of the Tiger Live Summit celebrates Lunar New Year.
This week’s Live Summit platinum reward is the Jaguar C-X75 Concept Lunar Year Edition. James Bond fans will recognise the hybrid supercar for appearing in the 2015 film Spectre. Driven by henchman Mr. Hinx, the British supercar features in a chase set in Rome against Bond, who drives an Aston Martin DB10.
Under the hood is a 1.6-litre turbocharged and supercharged inline-four engine generating 502 hp. A pair of electric motors increases the total output to a whopping 850 hp. Sadly, the C-X75 never entered production, but you can take it for a spin in The Crew 2.
Other rewards include an orange smoke vanity item (gold), a visual parts set for the Maserati Alfieri Concept (silver), and 200k followers (bronze).
In addition, the Year of the Tiger Live Summit bundle adds three new vehicles:
- Lamborghini Murcielago LP640 (2006) – Street Race
- Aeroboat SV12 (2018) – Powerboat
- Maserati Alfieri Concept (2014) – Hypercar
