Season 8 of The Crew Motorfest has plenty of content for the single-player side of the racer. While the PvP side is less exciting in terms of additions, the update will add Ranked Mode to Grand Race to add even more competitive chaos to the 28-player race. For the most part, it works about as you'd expect from a ranked mode with some of its own quirks.
Check out the full details for the mode below.
The Crew Motorfest Ranked Mode Details

The Ranked Mode in The Crew Motorfest follows the typical format, where you have multiple ranks with rewards for reaching each one. You'll see all details about your rank progression in Grand Race in the revamped menu for the mode.
In total, there will be 5 different ranks, which will reset every season. Here are all of them, starting from the lowest rank:
- Bronze (IV, III, II, I)
- Silver (IV, III, II, I)
- Gold (IV, III, II, I)
- Platinum (IV, III, II, I)
- Legend (I)
Each rank has four subdivisions, and you need to complete all of them before advancing. Meaning, you first start with Bronze IV, then move to Bronze III, II, and I, and after finishing them all, you then advance to Silver IV. Keep progressing until you can work all the way up to Legend I.
For completing each race in the mode, you'll either earn or lose Ranked Points (RP) based on your finishing position. Each division within the rank requires a certain amount of RP. Earn enough and you'll progress.
Ivory Tower also detailed how RP is calculated in the Season 8 QoL blog post. Per their announcement, the number of points you'll earn at the end of a race will depend on your current rank and your final position in the race. It will also consider the level of your opponents. This means if a low-ranked racer beats you, it'll dent your RP more than losing to a high-ranked player.

As with any ranked mode, there is de-ranking as well. When you drop to 0 RP in a particular division, you'll get a "shield" that prevents you from dropping further quickly. But if your losing streak continues, you'll drop a division below.
Each rank has its rewards for reaching it, but if you think working towards them is a bit of work, you can choose to "freeze" your rank progress and tune into races without the added stress.
That's everything detailed about Ranked Grand Races in The Crew Motorfest. It does appear to be a traditional ranked from what we've known so far, and will no doubt make the mode even more competitive.
