With Assetto Corsa Competizione players eager to get their hands on the GT2 Car Pack DLC, Kunos Simulazioni has confirmed the Mercedes-AMG GT2 will form part of the DLC. We also now have a confirmed release date for the much-anticipated GT2 car pack.

Mercedes-AMG GT2 racing into Assetto Corsa Competizione

The most powerful homologated racing car in Mercedes-AMG’s customer racing programme, the Mercedes-AMG GT2 packs a 4.0 litre V8 optimised for motorsport delivering up to 707 hp, paired with a six-speed sequential racing gearbox.

Bridging the gap between the Mercedes-AMG GT3 and Mercedes-AMG GT4, the GT4’s muscular exterior incorporates an aero package featuring a weight-saving carbon bonnet and an adjustable rear wing to improve stability at high speed.

The Mercedes-AMG GT2 is the sixth confirmed car included in the GT2 Pack DLC. That leaves the Brabham BT62 and Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo GT2 to complete the current GT2 grid, but Kunos hasn’t confirmed the full car list yet.

Release date confirmed

We already knew the GT2 Pack DLC was coming in January, but we now have an exact release date. Mark your calendars, because Kunos Simulazioni has confirmed the Assetto Corsa Competizione GT2 Pack DLC will be released on Steam on 24 January.

A console release date is not confirmed yet, but we expect the GT2 Pack DLC to arrive on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S a few months later going on past DLC releases.

Pricing is also yet to be confirmed. With the Nurburgring Nordschleife coming to ACC this Spring and Assetto Corsa 2 targetting a summer release, 2024 is set to be a strong year for AC fans.
