World's first F1 Arcade is state-of-the-art

As F1 Esports continues to rise in popularity, there’s a high demand for dedicated competitive gaming spaces. In response, Formula 1 has partnered with Kindred Concepts to launch the world’s first F1 Arcade, an “immersive state of the art F1 racing simulation” opening in London next month.

World’s first F1 Arcade opening in London

Opening in the heart of London next month, the state-of-the-art F1 Arcade will feature 60 bespoke racing simulators featuring “motion and audio visual effects” designed by a leading simulator design company in conjunction with F1.

Rather than utilise Codemasters’ officially licensed F1 22, the simulation will be based on rFactor 2 racing simulation platform, allowing players to choose from a variety of race modes to compete against each other individually or in teams of groups.

There will also be different modes to suit all ages and skill levels as well as personal driver profiles and experience currency that can be spent on offering prizes, venue activities, and competition entries. Based in St. Pauls, London, arcade bar design is inspired by the “global iconography of F1,” with special events on Grand Prix weekends.

The concept was by Adam Breeden, who set up other popular London venues including Flight Club, Puttshack, Hijingo, Bounce and All Star Lanes.

“We are thrilled to offer the first of these premium and exclusive entertainment experiences right in the heart of London,” said Breeden.

“It has been my most ambitious project to date, taking everything we know about competitive socialising venues and adding the strength of the Formula 1 brand. This is all the glamour of a Grand Prix weekend in your city, all year round. The cutting-edge technology, high-class food and beverage, coupled with a jaw-dropping venue design sets a new level of quality.”

Grand opening in November

The F1 Arcade’s grand opening will take place in St. Pauls, London, on 24 November. Event bookings and private reservations are now open on the F1 Arcade website before public bookings open later this month ahead of the grand opening.
