Forza Horizon 5: How to change avatar appearance

Forza Horizon 5 is simply the best when it comes to racing games on the Xbox Series X. Horizon 5 is still receiving regular updatesand add-ons that are keeping it fresh months after release.

FH5 is a game that can be approached in different ways. Its realistic physics and wide array of cars pleases petrol-heads, while the social aspects satisfy the casual players. We'll be focusing on the game's avatar system and how you can personalise yours in-game.

Play your way

The easiest way to customise your avatar is to go to one the houses you own in Forza Horizon 5. You don't have to be rich to own one either, as Casa Bella is unlocked at the start of the game.

If you go into the "My Festival" tab, you'll see the "Customize Character" option. Go into this menu and you'll have all of the options available to you when it comes to appearance and apparel. Something else you can change as well is your avatar's emotes, which we'll get into soon.

For the avatar's physical appearance, there are several presets available. To give them a truly personalised look though, you can edit their hair, eyes, . Pressing LB and RB allows you to quickly navigate through these tabs.

To ensure that your avatar can identify as whichever gender you want them to, you can alter their pronouns. Furthermore, you can alter their voice as well.

To better improve inclusiveness in FH5 as well, you can even add prosthetic limbs to your avatar. Nothing should stop disabled gamers from feeling like they can't be represented in their favourite games and Forza have embraced this mantra.

Lastly, emotes allow you to set how you want your avatar to celebrate victories. You can be as reserved or outgoing as you want to be here, there's a lot of options available.
