Forza Motorsport Update 4 Out Now, Brings “Minor Fixes”

Forza Motorsport Update 4

Forza Motorsport’s fourth major update is now live, with the latest patch introducing new cars, an iconic racing circuit, and a host of new events. However, despite continuous complaints from the community, the latest update only contains "minor fixes." If you were expecting major fixes, prepare to be disappointed.

Let’s dig through the Forza Motorsport Update 4 patch notes to find out what the new patch brings.

New cars and track

Headlining update 4 is a new circuit to race on: the iconic Daytona International Speedway. Notably absent in the initial track list, Daytona is finally back in Forza. Two layouts are available: the 2.5-mile Tri-oval Circuit and the technical 3.59-mile Sports Car Circuit.

Alongside Daytona, the update adds ten new cars. Four are Spotlight cars, while another four join the Car Pass.

  • 1992 Lancia Delta HF Integrale EVO (Jan. 18 – Jan. 24)
  • 2017 Abarth 124 Spider (Jan. 25 – Jan. 31)
  • 2017 Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio (Feb. 1 – Feb. 7)
  • 2007 Ferrari 430 Scuderia (Feb. 8 – Feb. 15)

  • 2022 Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR Pro (Feb. 1)
  • 2018 Cadillac #57 TA CTS-V (Feb. 8)

Completing the Italian Challengers Career Tour also unlocks the 2010 Lamborghini Murcielago LP 670-4 SV, while the classic 1965 Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint GTA Stradale can be won in the Classic Open Class.

In addition, the latest update adds a slew of new career, Featured Multiplayer, and Rivals events to complete.

“Minor fixes” for cars and tracks

If you were hoping for major fixes addressing the game’s biggest issues, prepare to be disappointed. Turn 10 notes that Update 4 is “focused on new content and events” and “contains only minor fixes for car and track content” compared to previous updates.

Turn 10 says that “work on game fixes to address top community issues is ongoing” and to “look out for additional improvements in Update 5 and beyond.”

In a statement last week, Turn 10 promised to improve the car progression, penalty system, and AI behaviour. With no time frame or solutions, the statement didn’t go down well with the community, with players demanding an apology from Turn 10 about Forza Motorsport’s current state.

Granted, changes to core features are going to take time. However, many frustrating glitches still need to be fixed, from invisible tracks to achievements not appearing. Considering the game launched over three months ago, glitches like these should be ironed out by now.
