What is Game Pass?

Xbox Game Pass is a subscription service for Xbox gamers that allows them to access a library of games for a monthly fee. In the UK, Game Pass costs £11.99 per month and comes with over 100 games including the latest Yakuza and Doom titles as well as classics like Fallout 3.

PREMIUM CONTENT AT BOTTOM PRICES: Game Pass is a great option to have a lot of games to play without splashing out

Say, for example, you want to play Battlefield V, but you don't want to pay full price for the game. Well, Xbox Game Pass allows you to play Battlefield V via a download, as it's included within your subscription. It's a bit like having a membership at a library in that you don't own any of the games, but they're always there for you to access whenever you want.

Will Horizon 5 be available on Game Pass?

Playground games have sensationally confirmed that Horizon 5 will be available via Game Pass, but only with Game Pass Ultimate. This is only for the standard edition of the game, you can't get the Premium nor Deluxe versions using this service. We assume this will be the same for gamers on both Series X and the Xbox One consoles, but that hasn't been confirmed yet.

NO EXTRA COST: Game Pass allows you to get the new Horizon for no extra cost above your subscription fees!

PC gamers on Steam will be able to access the game via Project xCloud as long as they have a Microsoft account.

This is a huge coup for Game Pass, as it doesn't normally have triple A titles in its library from launch. This could signal a huge shift in focus for Microsoft's online game provider, as the big titles could be available on Game Pass more often going forward.
