Racing comes to SnowRunner in Season 7 Compete & Conquer

SnowRunner Season 6 has come to an end, which means SnowRunner Season 7 is out now!

SnowRunner Season 7 Compete & Conquer out now

In a community update, Saber Interactive has confirmed that SnowRunner Season 7 Compete & Conquer will launch on 31 May on all platforms.

New location and racing activities

SnowRunner’s Season 7 expansion is called Complete & Conquer. Continuing the USA theme in Season 6, Complete & Conquer is set in a new location called Burning Mill based in Tennessee, USA. Burning Mill is a 4km2 map that includes a dirt track, a rally course, and a large river.

For the first time in the series, Season 7 introduces racing activities to Saber's snow driving simulation game. Solar players can complete challenging time-trial with checkpoints. In online co-op, players can race against each other in heated versus events.

Two types of races are available including a traditional dirt track or an off-road setting requiring players to navigate the wilderness as fast as possible.

Best of all, crossplay multiplayer is supported, meaning players can race against each other on all platforms. Crossplay multiplayer was already supported across PC, PlayStation, and Xbox, but the Compete & Conquer adds Nintendo Switch crossplay support.

New vehicles

To tackle these new racing events, Season 7 includes two new race-ready vehicles: the Gor BY-4 and the Sprinter 43-19.

The Gor BY-4, is a super lightweight scout car, while the Sprinter 43-19 is a mean-looking Dakar-style racing truck "tailor-made for speed in the harshest conditions." Both vehicles come with a unique racing-themed skin and extensive customisation options.

Next-gen update

SnowRunner was previously only available on the PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch. Now, SnowRunner has landed on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S with a slew of enhancements.

Available as a standalone game or a free update for PS4 and Xbox One owners, the next-gen update allows players to experience the wilderness in crisp 4K and smooth 60fps on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, along with enhanced graphics, a deeper depth of field, and faster loading times.

On PS5, DualSense haptic feedback also allows you to feel the terrain more realistically than before.

Release date

Available as part of the Year 2 Pass, SnowRunner Season 7 Compete & Conquer released on 31 May.

Price

Season 7 Compete & Conquer costs £5.99 on PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, and Nintnedo Switch.

Alternatively, it's also included in the Year 2 Pass, which costs £20.99 on Steam and the Epic Games Store and £19.99 on PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
