Where to watch & stream Austrian MotoGP 2023: Channels, countries, start time, sessions & more

If you're looking to find out where to watch and stream the Austrian MotoGP 2023 round, you've come to the right place!

MotoGP returned from its Summer break two weeks ago to continue its European tour in the UK. This weekend sees us head to the Styrian Mountains for the Austrian MotoGP.

Just like we did for the previous rounds in Argentina, the USA, Spain, France, Italy, and Britain, we're showing you where to watch and stream the 2023 Austrian Motorcycle Grand Prix.

As Austria is in Central Europe, the session times are what you'd expect for a European round. This could make it tricky for viewers in North America and Australia though, so here's everything you need to know about the 2023 Austrian MotoGP sessions.

While Austria hasn't produced as many top-level motorcycle rides as other countries recently, this is a very popular race on the 2023 MotoGP calendar.

The Austrian Motorcycle Grand Prix dates back to 1971 and has been hosted at the Red Bull Ring since the track's revamp in 2016 and also in 1996 and 1997. Between 1971 and 1994, the Salzburgring hosted the event.

When it comes to the most successful riders at the Austrian MotoGP, some surprising names come up. If we only count top-level victories there's a few riders that have three wins each.

Giacomo Agostini, Kenny Roberts, Eddie Lawson, Kevin Schwantz, Mick Doohan and Andrea Dovizioso all have a hat-trick of wins in Austria. Dovizioso could make it a record-breaking four wins this weekend.

On the current grid, Brad Binder and Francesco Bagnaia are the only other riders to win the Austrian Grand Prix. But where can you watch and stream the Austrian MotoGP 2023? Let's find out!

UK

We'll begin with the UK, where all sessions will be shown live on the newly-rebranded TNT Sport. TNT Sport is the only channel to see all sessions of the 2023 season live in the UK.

The UK is only an hour behind Austria, so the session times are very sociable for this weekend. Here's the full list:

  • Practice 2: 14:00 - 15:00, 18 August

USA

MotoGP coverage in the United States is on NBC. Unfortunately, only the Americas GP is shown live on NBC in the USA in 2023, so you'll need to catch the Austrian GP at a later time.

However, with the race starting at 8 am on the east coast and 5 am on the west coast, this isn't such a bad thing. Other sessions including the sprint race and qualifying won't be shown on TV in the USA.

The Austrian GP will be shown on CNBC at 3 pm Eastern time on Sunday 20 August.

Australian MotoGP fans will need to be up very late to catch the Austrian Grand Prix live. While it's not as bad as some rounds, a 10 pm start time for the race on the east coast isn't an easy watch.
