The Indy 500 is one of the oldest and most prestigious motorsport events in the world. Aside from brief breaks for the World Wars, the Indy 500 has run every year since 1911.

The Indy 500 concludes the Month of May motorsport celebrations with a spectacular crescendo. The famous banks of Indianapolis allow modern IncyCars to average over 230 mph throughout a lap.

When it comes to the most successful drivers at the Indy 500, there are so many legends to mention. Helio Castroneves, A.J. Foyt, Al Unser and Rick Mears all have the most wins at the brickyard with four each.

On the current grid, Takuma Sato joins Castroneves as a multi-time winner with a pair of victories in 2017 and 2020. Marcus Ericsson won here last year and is one of the favourites for this year's event.

Alex Rossi, Will Power and Simon Pagenaud are the other former winners of the Indy 500 on the current grid. But where can you watch & stream the IndyCar Indy 500? Let's find out!

UK

We'll begin with the UK, where all sessions will be shown live on Sky Sports F1. Sky Sports F1 will be the only channel to see all sessions of the 2023 season live in the UK.

The part of Indiana where Indianapolis is located is in the Eastern time zone. So, they're five hours behind the UK and the sessions will take place in the afternoon and evening.

The Indy 500 event lasts for almost two weeks, with it beginning on Tuesday and finishing a week on Sunday:

USA

IndyCar coverage in the United States is on NBC. NBC has IndyCar coverage via its streaming service Peacock as well as the USA Network. Additionally, IndyCar's streaming service also has live coverage for subscribers.

NBC will show the qualifying and race sessions live, but the rest will all only be covered by Peacock. The session times will be quite sociable wherever you are in the USA.

Australia

Australian IndyCar fans never have it easy and this weekend is another tough one. However, because of the sheer amount of sessions available, you're bound to be up for at least a few of them.

Stan Sport is the broadcaster of IndyCar this season in Australia. Not all sessions will be shown in Australia though, with the first being Practice 6 on Saturday 20th May.
