Wave 2 of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass was only released a few weeks ago, and now Nintendo has previewed two new tracks coming in Wave 3 during today’s Nintendo Direct Show.
Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC Wave 3 tracks revealed
During the Nintendo Direct show, the following tracks were confirmed for Wave 3 of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass:
- Merry Mountain (Mario Kart Tour)
- Peach Gardens (Mario Kart DS)
Merry Mountain is a Christmas-themed snow track from the Mario Kart Tour mobile game, while Peach Gardens debuted in Mario Kart DS and last appeared in Mario Kart Wii.
As each Wave includes eight remastered tracks from classic Mario Kart games, that leaves six tracks still to be revealed in Wave 3.
Wave 2 added old favourites such as Waluigi Pinball from Mario Kart DS, Mario Kart 64’s Kalimari Desert, and Mario Circuit 3 featured in the original Super Mario Kart.
48 new tracks across six Booster Course Pass Wave will be released until the end of 2023, bringing the total number of tracks in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe to a whopping 96 – the most tracks in any Mario Kart game.
Booster COurse Wave 3 release date
No release date was revealed for Wave 3 of the Booster Course Pass, but Nintendo confirmed it will come out later this year in the Christmas season. Judging from past Waves, we expect it will be released in early or mid-December.
The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass costs £24.99 or is included in the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack at no extra cost for subscribers.
