Rocket League Sideswipe Season 6 brings back fan-favourite LTM

Rocket League remains one of the most popular sports games of all time. Its success spawned the mobile spin-off Rocket League Sideswipe in 2021, which is played by millions of players.

Now, Rocket League Sideswipe is celebrating its first anniversary, with Season 6 bringing a new Rocket Pass, a crossover event, and the return of a fan-favourite Limited Time Mode.

Rocket Pass

An official blog post reveals details of the Rocket League Sideswipe Season 6 Rocket Pass. Players can unlock the supercar inspired R3MX along with the old-school Dingo and the luxury Maverick G1. Halloween may be over, but the Rocket Pass also includes the Haunted Hoss Wheels.

Reaching Tier 49 unlocks the Stormwatch Universal Decal that can be fitted to any car in your garage. Reaching Tier 50, on the other hand, unlocks the Fireworks Goal Explosion!

As well as these rewards, Season 6 adds the Orange Quasar III Goal Explosion, Orange Foam Hat, and a Burnt Sienna version of last Season’s Raijin Wheels to the Item Shop.

Anniversary gifts

That’s not all, as Psyonix is also giving players free birthday presents to celebrate the first anniversary of Rocket League. These include Cupcake Wheels, a supersized Birthday Hat Topper, and a Party Horn Boost.

There’s also a new crossover event in Rocket League Sideswipe Season 6. By winning 20 online matches and signing into Rocket League and Rocket League Sideswipe Accounts, you can win an Octopus Banner in both games.

Heatseeker LTM returns

Rocket League Season 6 also sees the return of a fan-favourite LTM: Heatseeker. First introduced in Rocket League in 2020, Heatseeker is a mode where touching the ball causes it to automatically fly into your opponent's goal at high speed.

However, if your opponent hits the ball or it bounces off the back wall, the ball will fly back towards your own goal instead.

A new Collisions setting has also been added, allowing cars to bump into each other and knock opponents out of the way when attacking like the original Rocket League. Mutator Madness will also add collisions to its list of Mutator Settings.
