With summer now upon us, more updates are arriving for Assetto Corsa Evo. Despite there being no news on a release date, we do now have extra info thanks to the game’s Steam page going live.
Assetto Corsa Evo store page now live
Assetto Corsa Evo is the long-awaited sequel to Assetto Corsa. Bringing the track racer to the next generation, Assetto Corsa Evo aims to carry on the levels of realism and high-performance racing started by the original.
For the longest time, details on Assetto Corsa Evo were scarce. The original release window came and went with no official word on when fans could expect the game to launch.
That’s now all changed, however, with the appearance of the Assetto Corsa store page on Steam. Along with confirming the game’s logo, this store page also gives players their first look at cars and tracks coming to the game.
In particular, one screenshot shows the Nordschleife, appearing to suggest the infamous Green Hell will be present in the game from launch. This is in stark contrast to Assetto Competizione, where the Nordschleife was only recently added in a post-launch update.
The game’s description mentions both VR and triple-monitor support being present in previous Kunos Simulazioni titles, implying both will be supported in Assetto Corsa Evo. These will help elevate the game to the top step of the sim racing podium.
Still no release date
Despite the Steam page revealing more about the game, one aspect still missing is Assetto Corsa Evo’s release date. Fans were expecting that to be revealed around the 24 Hours of Spa weekend, but that appears to not be the case.
All the store page confirms is a 2024 release. With rumors previously suggesting a June or July launch, it seems as though the game has been pushed back to later in the year.
For now, players can add the game to their wishlist on Steam. Hopefully, a release date will be revealed sooner rather than later.
