Le Mans Ultimate has finally arrived, with players hitting the track in the World Endurance Championship. With full race weekends simulated in the game, players can live out a truly realistic endurance race. But for those who don’t have hours to spare, how can you change the race length in Le Mans Ultimate?
Enduring the race
After practice and qualifying, it all comes down to the race itself. The World Endurance Championship is well-known for its elongated race sessions, with events ranging from an hour to the infamous 24 Hours of Le Mans.
Driving through the night has a range of different challenges compared to racing in daylight, including limited visibility and drivers struggling to concentrate.
Some sim racers are prepared to dedicate an entire day to experiencing a WEC race, but those who don't have the time may prefer a shorter race session to get the weekend over.
So how can you change the race length in Le Mans Ultimate?
How to change race length in Le Mans Ultimate
Le Mans Ultimate has a lot of customisation options when it comes to session length, but you need to go looking to find the right option.
When starting a race weekend, you have the option to set up the weekend exactly how you want. This includes the rules, damage, tyre and fuel usage, and of course, session length.
In the ‘Event Settings’ menu, you can change the race session length. This can be done by using the arrows under ‘Length’, with the default set to the chosen track's usual race length.
The session length options here are quite limited, but there is a way to adjust the race length further. Click on the ‘Advanced Options’, then scroll down to find the ‘Race Length’ setting. Here, you can finetune the exact length further to give you the length of race that you want.
Whether it's a 20-minute blast around Monza or the full 24 hours around Le Mans, you can now set up the race exactly how you want it. Once you’re happy with the race length, it’s time to hit the track and make it count!
