The latest report from Digital Bros revealed that the next game is now "in development", an exciting prospect for those hungry to get their hands on some new sim-racing software. We don't even know the game's true name yet, so we really are here from start to finish of the title's development.

This follows 3 years of AC Competizione, which launched back in 2019 for PC and the year after for all consoles. Could we see the same with AC2? Yes, we very well could!

However, given that the current game will be in development for a number of years, we wouldn't be surprised to see a full release on all platforms. This will also give the team time to get the title ready for PC hardware at the time (the game may be built on Unreal Engine 5), as well as fully optimise it for next-gen.

The game is currently penned in for a 2024 launch, giving the team another 3 years to create and perfect the next Assetto Corsa game.

This may coincide with the console release of the game as well, or we may see the console game's the following year, in 2025. We are yet to find out the specific release dates for the game across platforms.
