F1 24 Champions Edition Players Can Win Max Verstappen's Helmet

Codemasters has revealed F1 24's first Challenge Career, which sees players take on the role of three-time world champion Max Verstappen with a desirable reward. However, there is a small catch for F1 24 players.

Challenge Careers are a welcome new feature in F1 24. Taking the best of the overhauled Career Mode, Challenge Career condenses it all down to three episodes of two races. This means players compete in six races per season.

Points are awarded per race, with an overall score given at the end. These scores are presented in a global leaderboard, with the racer at the top crowned the champion of Challenge Career.

Each season features a different driver and team, with races rotating every season. Fans will be encouraged to vote on which drivers, teams, and tracks they want to see in future Challenge Career seasons.

Despite the community voting on future Challenge Careers, the first has already been chosen. This will feature arguably the best combination on the grid for players to get stuck into.

Verstappen Challenge Career coming soon

Codemasters has revealed the first Challenge Career coming to F1 24. Players will strap on the race suit of EA Sports ambassador Max Verstappen, who helped develop F1 24's handling, before climbing into his dominant Red Bull for the first season.

Players can race as the three-time world champion for the first three episodes of Challenge Career. Completing all three episodes will unlock Verstappen’s 2024 helmet for players to don in the game.

Verstappen himself has chosen which tracks players will be racing around, with the first two being the iconic Suzuka and legendary Imola. This first episode is available from May 28, with the second arriving the following day, and the third launching on May 30.

Eagle-eyed fans may have already spotted the catch with these dates. The first Challenge Career is only available to players with three days of early access. These are the players who have preordered the F1 24 Champions Edition.

Standard Edition players will therefore miss out on the racing action this time around. Future Challenge Careers will be available to all players regardless of which edition of the game they own.
