Is F1 23 Free on EA Play / Game Pass?

F1 23 has been out for almost a month now on a variety of platforms. Fans unsure whether to buy the game yet have all been asking the same question: is F1 23 free on EA Play / Game Pass?

It’s a good question, especially for those not wanting to commit to F1 23 after the disappointment of F1 22.

Is F1 23 free on EA Play / Game Pass?

F1 fans currently subscribed to EA Play can start celebrating!

F1 23 will be available on EA Play from 18 January. Not only that, but EA Play members will also receive 5k XP rewards and a 10% discount on EA digital content, including PitCoins. The 5k XP rewards last until 31 January, so you need to hurry to take advantage.

With F1 23 coming to EA Play, the question is whether the game will also be coming to Game Pass. The good news is that yes, F1 23 is also available on Game Pass Ultimate on the same day. This is earlier than when F1 22 came to Game Pass in March 2023.

You'll need a Game Pass Ultimate subscription, however, because F1 23 is not available to play on the entry-level Core tier. A Game Pass Ultimate subscription will set you back £12.99 and includes access to EA Play.

When will F1 24 be released?

Despite F1 23 coming to EA Play and Game Pass, attention has still turned to F1 24.

This year's F1 game is arriving earlier than expected. F1 23 and F1 22 came out on 16 June and 1 July respectively, but EA has confirmed F1 24 will be released on 31 May, with Champions Edition players getting early access from 28 May.

F1 24 will introduce a new career mode along with more authentic handling, but more details will be revealed when the full reveal takes place in April.
