Williams reveals new FW45 car livery for F1 23

With the 2023 Formula 1 season fast approaching, teams are starting to unveil their new cars and liveries. We’ve already seen Haas and Red Bull show off their new 2023 cars, and now Williams Racing has revealed the new updated FW45 car players will race in F1 23.

Williams reveal new FW45 car livery for F1 23

Williams presented the new FW45 car at the team’s Grove factory alongside Alex Albon and his American team-mate Logan Sargeant, who makes his F1 debut this year.

Visually, the FW45 livery is an evolutionary update, retaining the prominent blue look from last year’s car with red flourishes. This year, the paint is also finished in matte, helping the Williams FW45 stand out on the track.

In line with new technical regulations, the floor edges are raised and the sidepods are redesigned. Elsewhere, the front suspension and aerodynamic surfaces have been modified. With these changes, the FW44 boasts more downforce and improved handling.

A more obvious change is the Gulf International branding adorning the livery after the oil company signed with Williams after its sponsorship deal with McLaren ended last year.

“As Williams Racing continues its transformation, we’re proud to unveil this year’s livery. We are excited about this year’s car, and I cannot thank the entire team at Grove enough for their hard work to get ready for the season,” said Matthew Savage, Chairman of the Board at Williams Racing.

“I am delighted to welcome both new and existing partners to our journey. With our new Team Principal James Vowles joining us later this month, as well as our exciting driver line up of Alex and Logan, Williams Racing will be giving its all in 2023.”

F1 23 release date

While more teams will reveal their new cars and liveries this week, Codemasters is keeping F1 23 under wraps for now.

We’ll have to wait until F1 23’s reveal to find out the release date, but it should arrive in late June or early July going by last year’s game.
