Forza Horizon 5 Lunar New Year Reward Cars Leak, Include Hyundai i30 N

Forza Horizon 5’s next series after Community Choice doesn’t kick off until next week. However, the reward cars have seemingly leaked early after the Spanish Forza Horizon X (formerly Twitter) page reportedly shared the wrong playlist accidentally.

Forza Horizon 5 Lunar New Year Reward Cars Leak

Spotted on the GTPlanet forum, the Spanish Forza Horizon X page reportedly posted early images of the Lunar New Year playlist, revealing most of the new reward cars. One of the highlights is the 2022 Hyundai i30 N. Hyundai N is the Korean manufacturer’s performance division, similar to BMW’s M division and Mercedes-AMG.

Hyundai’s answer to the Volkswagen Golf GTI is a formidable hot hatch with agile handling, sporting styling, and a punchy 2.0-litre, four-cylinder turbo engine producing 276 horsepower. Power is sent to the front wheels through a six-speed manual or eight-speed dual-clutch transmission.

Joining the i30 N is its high-performance crossover sibling, the 2022 Kona N. Both are series progress cars. Let’s hope they pave the way for the Elantra N to complete Hyundai N’s current model lineup in Forza Horizon 5. Hyundai is also cooking up a hot N performance variant of the electric Ioniq 5 hatchback, due to arrive early this year.

According to the leak, other new-to-Forza cars coming in the Lunar New Year update include the 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 6, 2022 Lynk & Co 02 HB, and 2022 MG MG7. MG’s parent company, SAIC, also teased that the 2023 MG Cyberster will form part of a new Chinese New Year Car Pack.

However, Playground Games has yet to reveal the DLC pack or Lunar New Year update reward cars. These cars will also likely be added to Forza Motorsport at some point.

Forza Horizon 5 Lunar New Year start date

Celebrating Chinese New Year, Forza Horizon 5’s Lunar New Year series kicks off on Thursday, 1 February. Alongside the new cars, the new series update will add a stadium drift arena, a unique collectable, and a dragon drone show.

In the meantime, the final Community Choice festival playlist is now live, bringing a new photo challenge set in Gran Telescopio and not one but two Treasure Hunts. Our Delta 100 and Purrfectly Clean Treasure Hunt guides will help you reap the rewards.
