With SnowRunner now well into its second year of live content and bringing new updates to the game as it goes on, there is always the question of expanding the multiplayer options
Is the incredible SnowRunner cross-platform? Let's take a look!
Latest news - Season 6 has arrived
While Season 5 added PC crossplay, letting Steam & Epic Games owners play together, Season 6 goes one step further.
SnowRunner now has cross-platform capability. That means that PC players and PS4 players can connect, with Xbox players being added to the party soon.
Firstly, SnowRunner does indeed have an online multiplayer mode for players to enjoy.
This mode lets up to 4 players play the title co-operatively on each of its current platforms, PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch & PC.
All players will need is a connection to the internet and for PlayStation users a PS Plus subscription. Xbox users will need an Xbox Live subscription also.
So, with multiplayer being available on all platforms, can players across platforms play together? Yes, they now can play across different platforms!
When the game was initially released, the team behind the game made it explicit that crossplay was not yet in the game.
Following the game's launch there was a lot of feedback from the community asking for the feature to be added. As SnowRunner has grown, those calls have only become louder.
Now the feature has been added, and players on different platforms can play together.
It is an exciting time to get into the game, as a new season, Haul & Hustle, is on the way which is adding a massive variety of new content to the game.
This includes new vehicles for you to tackle your environment, as well as new environments within which you will be placed also.
