Today is Chinese New Year’s Day. 2022 is the Year of the Tiger, the third animal of the Chinese zodiac.
To celebrate, several racing games are hosting special events and adding Lunar New Year-themed content. For the first time in the series, Chinese cars are coming to Forza Horizon 5 this week in the Series 4 update. Four new China tracks were also added to Horizon Chase in the China Spirit DLC pack and Year of the Tiger events in The Crew 2 and Need for Speed No Limits are offering special themed rewards.
Steam’s annual Lunar New Year sale has also begun, and there are some crazy racing game discounts to tempt you into going on a spending spree.

Assetto Corsa 80% off
Out of all the racing games on sale, Assetto Corsa has one of the biggest reductions. For a limited time, Kunos Simulazioni’s sublime racing simulation is on sale with 80 percent off, reduced to just £3.09. At that price, Assetto Corsa is an absolute steal.

rFactor 2 reduced to £5.15
With its redesigned UI, regular eSports events, and Daytona International Speedway coming soon, now is a great time to jump into rFactor 2.
If you’ve never played rFactor 2 before, the revered PC sim is currently 80 per cent off on Steam in the Lunar New Year Sale. That brings the price down to just £5.15, so don’t miss out.
F1 2021 on sale
There are also some fantastic deals on more recent racing titles. For F1 fans, F1 2021 is reduced to £16.79. Codemasters latest F1 racer features the Braking Point story mode in which you play as rookie racer Aiden Jackson working your way up from Formula 2 to Formula 1.
Codemasters still supports F1 2021 too, with the Podium Pass Series 4 adding new liveries designed by F1 content creators.
With F1 2022 expected to race onto PC and consoles in July, now is a great time to start perfecting your lap times in F1 2021.
