Where to watch & stream Emilia Romagna Grand Prix 2023: Channels, countries, start time, sessions & more

*UPDATE* Due to the flooding in the Emilia Romagna region this Grand Prix has been called off. Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO of Formula 1, said: “It is such a tragedy to see what has happened to Imola and Emilia-Romagna, the town and region that I grew up in, and my thoughts and prayers are with the victims of the flooding and the families and communities affected."

What follows is the original article released prior to the announcement made by Formula 1 on 17 May.

The Emilia Romagna Grand Prix made a surprise F1 debut in 2020 and has stuck around ever since. Imola has hosted plenty of Grands Prix before though, having previously been known as the San Marino Grand Prix.

Imola is a traditional F1 circuit that is a real challenge thanks to its lack of run-off and narrow track width. When it rains, like in 2021, tougher thanks to the undulating circuit forming rivers and puddles.

With Imola being in Italy, we can expect the standard session times we see for Central European Grands Prix.

When it comes to the most successful drivers around Imola, it's unsurprisingly Michael Schumacher on top, with seven wins to his name. Ayrton Senna and Alain Prost are joint-second with three each.

On the current grid, Max Verstappen has a pair of victories at Imola to his name, having won both of the previous two races here. Sir Lewis Hamilton won in 2020 and Fernando Alonso won the San Marino Grand Prix all the way back in 2005.
