Cop chases to feature in new Need for Speed Unbound gameplay video tomorrow

With Need for Speed Unbound just over a month away, EA’s promotional campaign is gathering pace. Last week, we got our first look at Unbound’s wild customisation options and optional driving effects. One week later, EA is teasing another new Need for Speed Unbound gameplay video coming tomorrow.

New Need for Speed Unbound gameplay video coming tomorrow

EA will release the next Need for Speed Unbound gameplay video tomorrow at 4pm BST/ 8am PT/5pm CEST.

In the meantime, a brief teaser clip released on the official Need for Speed Twitter account treats us to ten seconds of new Need for Speed Unbound gameplay.

The video shows a Lotus Exige outmanoeuvring the cops in a high level pursuit at night, performing a handbrake turn and j-turn to avoid a roadblock.

Criterion Games has promised Unbound’s police chases will have “new escape mechanics,” which we’ll probably find out more about in tomorrow’s gameplay video. Escaping police will earn significant rewards, hinting at a new risk vs reward mechanic.

We also get to see the Exige jump onto a railway bridge with cartoon wing driving effects appearing from the car. Thankfully, these eye-catching driving effects can be turned off if you don’t like them.

Let’s hope tomorrow’s video is longer than last week’s fleeting 30-second gameplay clip.

Release date

Need for Speed Unbound will be released on 2 December for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. If you can’t wait until then, pre-ordering the Palace Edition unlocks the game three days earlier on 29 December.
