Truck simulations may sound niche, but Euro Truck Simulator is surprisingly popular. But despite its popularity on PC, SCS’ popular truck simulation still hasn’t been ported to consoles. Thankfully, there are alternatives.

Saber Interactive’s MudRunner and SnowRunner are some of the most challenging off-road truck driving simulators. The latter is also receiving a free next-gen update for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in May.

From developer Road Studio S.A. Alaskan Truck Simulator is a new truck driving simulator coming to PC, PS4, and PS5 this year with a unique twist.

Live the life of a trucker

Uniquely, Alaskan Truck Simulator blends truck driving with survival. As the latest extended gameplay trailer shows, you aren't restricted to your truck as you can explore the environment on foot.

Simulating the life of a truck driver, Alaskan Truck Simulator incorporates survival elements. To quote the developer, the game let's you "be a trucker, not a truck!”

Your driver can become hungry or tired, so you need to use money earned from delivering cargo to buy food from the grocery store and sleep.

As well as maintaining your driver’s health, you also need to maintain your truck with regular fuel and oil changes.

Conquer the Alaskan wilderness

In Alaskan Truck Simulator, you start your career by delivering cargo before gaining access to better trucks and equipment and take on more challenging missions.
