The Crew 2 Season 7 Episode 1: Into the Storm

Season 7 sees you competing in epic underground races across the US against a devastating sandstorm. With flying debris and collapsing structures to avoid in high winds, the setpieces and cross-country racing remind us of Need for Speed: The Run. Starting on 16 November, there will be five events.

While all races are initially available, you need to complete them in a specific order to progress to the next stage and earn an exclusive reward.

New cars

Season 7 also brings some brand new cars debuting in The Crew. These include the Pontiac Firebird T/A 1977 (Street Race), and the Mitsubishi FTO GP Version R (Street Race). Both can be purchased with bucks or Crew Credits. This episode also adds new Contrasting rims as vanity items, with two different sets of wheel rims.

Masked Leader (Hypercar), and Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray Interception Unit (Street Race).

Quality of life improvements

As well as new content, the Season 7 update also brings a raft of quality-of-life improvements. Season 6 introduced a 60fps performance mode for PS5 and Xbox Series X but this came at the cost of significantly downgraded graphics.

Thankfully, the Season 7 update rectifies this, with the performance mode delivering a “significantly improved visual experience” at up to 60fps and 1440p resolution.

The Crew 2

Xbox Series X owners aren’t left out either. Additionally, a 60fps performance mode is also now available on Xbox Series S, running at a target 60fps and up to 1080p resolution. Other enhancements include improved event icons and car handling as well as fixes for wheel clipping issues affecting car handling and performance.
