Will EA Sports WRC 23 be on Game Pass?

With EA Sports WRC officially revealed, questions are being asked about how players can play the game. We know that EA Sports WRC will be available on both Xbox Series X|S and PC, as well as PlayStation 5. So will EA Sports WRC be available on Game Pass?

For those looking to get EA Sports WRC via Game Pass, it’s bad news we’re afraid. EA Sports WRC will not be on Game Pass at launch, meaning players will have to buy the Standard Edition of the game to play on Xbox.

It’s a similar story on PC. With no Game Pass, players will need to buy the game through Steam, the Epic Store, or of course via the EA App.

Although EA Sports WRC hasn't been announced for Game Pass, it will require an Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription to play on Xbox according to the game’s listing on the Microsoft Store. This indicates that EA Sports WRC will likely require an online connection.

So EA Sports WRC isn’t available on Game Pass, but that doesn’t necessarily mean players will need to buy the game to play.

EA Sports WRC will be available on EA Play

EA Sports WRC won’t be on Game Pass at launch, but the game will be available on EA Play from launch. Players with a standard EA Play subscription will have access to both a five-hour free trial of EA Sports WRC and the Standard Edition of the game.

Players with an EA Play Pro subscription can access the EA SPORTS WRC EA Play Pro Edition. This contains an extra three car liveries along with additional apparel packs.

Both the EA Play and EA Play Pro subscriptions also come with recurring in-game rewards for players.

An EA Play subscription includes a Game Pass subscription, so technically EA Sports WRC will be available via Game Pass, just not directly.
