With the recent announcement of the next Assetto Corsa title, many are wondering how they’re going to be able to play the game, whether that be on PC or a next-gen console.

Following the success of the first iteration, and Assetto Corsa Competizione afterwards, a third game was inevtiable from 505 Games and Kunos Simulazioni. So, it's nice to have confirmation of the game being made right now.

So, is Assetto Corsa 2 coming to Xbox Series X|S? And if so, when can we expect to play it? Let’s take a look right now!

The latest report from Digital Bros revealed that the next game is now “in development”, which is awesome news for fans of the sim series on Xbox. We don’t even know the game’s true name yet, so we really are here from start to finish of the title’s development.

This follows 3 years of AC Competizione, which launched back in 2019 for PC and the year after for all consoles. Could we see the same with AC2? Yes, we very well could!

However, given that the current game will be in development for a number of years, we wouldn’t be surprised to see a full release on all platforms. This means Xbox Series X|S players would get the game at the same time as the PC and PS5 players!

So, with the title inevitably arriving on all platforms eventually, much like AC and ACC, when can we expect to see the game arrive on the next-gen Xboxs?

The game is currently penned in for a 2024 launch, giving the team another 3 years to create and perfect the next Assetto Corsa game.

We're not certain whether or not the Xbox version of the game will launch at the same time as the PC version, or if they'll have different release dates. The last title arrived a year after the PC version, so we may see the same again this time.
