Forza Horizon 5: What platforms is it coming to? Xbox, PC, Playstation, Nintendo?

Forza Horizon 5 is just seven weeks away! We've seen the mighty car list and had a great look at the Mexico map. But the question people keep asking us is if the game is coming to their platform. Will Forza Horizon 5 be playable on the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, PC, Playstation 4 and Playstation 5, or even on the Nintendo Switch? Read on for all the answers!

Forza Horizon 5 Xbox compatibility

Forza Horizon 5 will be playable on the Xbox Series X|S and the Xbox One consoles. So if you have any of these consoles, including the Xbox One S and the Xbox One X, you'll be able to experience the racing in Mexico.

Any Xbox from the new or the previous generation can run Forza Horizon 5

Thanks to Microsoft Xbox Smart Delivery, you can buy Forza Horizon 5 once and download the correct version to any of your consoles without any confusing configuration options. If you're a Game Pass subscriber, you'll even be able to play the standard version with no further cost!

Playstation 4 and Playstation 5

Playstation players aren't so lucky. As with all games published by Xbox Game Studios, this one won't be coming to your console.

On the other hand, Xbox players are jealous of the Playstation exclusive Gran Turismo series, so there are pros and cons to your choice of console ecosystem!

PC players and Forza Horizon 5

If the PC is your preferred method of gaming, you'll have two options for buying Forza Horizon 5. The game will be available on both the Microsoft Store and on Steam.

PC gamers will also be able to experience Forza Horizon 5

Again, Game Pass subscribers will be able to play the core game at no extra cost. You'll also be able to purchase the Premium Add-Ons bundle for early access and additional exclusive content, including two expansions when they are released.

What about the Nintendo Switch?

As with all the previous Forza and Forza Horizon games, we won't be seeing this appear on Nintendo platforms, just as first-party Nintendo titles never appear on Xbox consoles.

Look on the bright side though. Other consoles never get to experience the utter madness of games like Mario Kart Live: Home Circuit!
