GT7 Daily Races 3 July: Teamwork required


After the disappointment of update 1.35, Polyphony is back with a new week of Sport Mode action in the GT7 Daily Races 3 July.

This week sees some classic combos return to the game, along with a huge tuning challenge in the unranked race. With 16 cars to pick from it will be a hard task to find the optimum choices! So what's on the cards this week? Let's take a look!

Race A

Special Stage Route X - 1 lap

The first race of the week is a one-lapper around Special Stage Route X, and it's a tuning race! Players can use one of the following cars:

  • R32 GT-R NISMO '90
  • R33 GT-R V-spec '97
  • R34 GT-R V-spec II Nur '02

The 12-car field will use a rolling start, and everyone will be on the Sports Soft tyres. As mentioned, there is no BoP for this race, so you can tune for straight-line speed to your heart's content.

There is no mechanical damage for this race, and neither DR nor SR will be affected by the results. There are light shortcut penalties and penalties for collisions.

Race B

Trial Mountain - Reverse - 4 laps

The first ranked race of the week takes us to Trial Mountain for four laps of the reverse track in Gr.3 cars.

Players will be on the Racing Medium tyre, with 1x fuel consumption and tyre wear. The 16-car field will use a rolling start, so be sure to qualify well if you want a chance of winning this one.

Your performance in this race will impact your DR & SR, while a mid-speed BoP will be in place for every driver.

There is light mechanical damage in this one, with light shortcut penalties and penalties for collisions too.

Race C

Kyoto Driving Park - Yamagiwa Reverse - 10 laps

The final race of the week is a long one, taking us around the full Yamagiwa layout for 10 laps in Gr.4 cars.

The 16-car field will use a rolling start, and everyone will be on the Racing Medium tyre. There is 1x fuel consumption and 3x tyre wear for this race and there is a mandatory pitstop in this race.

A mid-speed BoP is in use for everyone in this race and there is light mechanical damage. You'll also receive penalties for collisions and pit lane line cutting, while there are light penalties for shortcuts.
