The rumours were right. After it leaked online, Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 - Turbocharged is now official. Milestone has revealed a plethora of details to dig through. But one detail fans want to know is the Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 - Turbocharged release date.

With over two million sales, Milestone’s acclaimed toy racer was a surprise hit back in 2021. Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 is set to take it to the next level, with over 130 cars including new bikes and ATVs, a story campaign and more game modes.

When is Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 - Turbocharged coming out?

Milestone has confirmed that Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 is set to release on 19 October 2023. This only applies to the Standard and Deluxe Editions, however. Players who pre-order the premium Legendary Edition can get racing three days earlier on 16 October 2023.

To say that 2023 is proving to be a hectic year for Milestone is an understatement. As well as Hot Wheels Unleashed 2, the prolific Italian studio is also releasing MotoGP 23 in June and RIDE 5 in August. Before that, Milestone also launched Monster Energy Supercross 6 back in March.

Platforms and Editions

As for platforms, Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 is racing onto PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and Epic Games. Developers are starting to move away from last-generation platforms, but Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 is still coming to PS4 and Xbox One.

This suggests Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 will run on the same engine as the original, meaning graphical and performance improvements will likely be minor.

Three Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 editions are available on all platforms. Available both physically and digitally, the Standard Edition includes the base game and the Rust and Fast DLC Pack as a pre-order bonus.

Like the original, Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 will expand with additional content across multiple Season Pass volumes. Season Pass Vol.1 is included with the Deluxe Edition along with the Rust and Fast and Unstoppables Packs.

Finally, the Legendary Edition includes the same content as the Deluxe Edition plus Season Pass Vol. 2, the Speed Kings Pack, and Just a Scratch Pack. Players who pre-order the Legendary also get access to Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 three days earlier on 16 October.
