Each mission has its own challenges, from driving up a rocky mountain to planting seismic equipment to fording a river to reveal dinosaur bones. Using the right vehicle for each mission is crucial, as the last thing you want is to be stranded in the wilderness on your roof.

It’s also vital that the game runs smoothly while you navigating your way through each section of challenging terrain. To get the best visual performance out of the game, you need the best graphics settings. Thankfully, we’ve found just the right sweet spot.

Expeditions: A MudRunner Game isn’t necessarily the most resource-heavy when it comes to graphics, but it can still cause major slowdowns on less powerful PCs. For the most part, the default settings are the best for getting the best performance, but there are still a couple that need tweaking.

First up is the display mode. For players likely to tab out of the game a lot while playing, ‘Borderless’ is the best option here. This means you can move the cursor off the main screen, or switch to another window on the same monitor without causing display issues.

It’s also a good idea to combine this with the ‘Limit FPS When in Background’ setting. This will reduce the resource usage when viewing another window so that your PC does not slow down when you are not playing the game.

An FPS limit is also advisable for players with slightly older hardware. 60will still give smooth visuals out in the field, but 30 is an option for those who need it. Of course, if you have a high-end rig,the FPS limit is unnecessary.

Finally, we have the extra visual features. Antialiasing should be set to TAA for best performance, with FXAA disabled. Motion blur is an optional extra for players looking for a more realistic effect when on the move, but isn’t a necessity.

Sharpening can be left at default, as this is set according to your PC’s hardware. As for graphics presets, these should already be set to maximise performance on your PC.
