When is MotoGP 24 coming out? That's what racing gamers who enjoy contests on two wheels rather than four will be wondering now that the 2024 season is underway.

MotoGP 24 is coming this year, but when exactly can we expect the 2024 Motorcycle Grand Prix game to come out? We've got everything you need to know about the release date.

MotoGP 24 release date

Milestone has been developing the official MotoGP game for a very long time now, and that will continue with MotoGP 24. The game had a regular release date in late April, but that changed with the release of MotoGP 23.

MotoGP 23 was released on 8 June 2023, but MotoGP 24 veers closer to the old release schedule. MotoGP 24 will launch on 2 May 2024 for PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

MotoGP 24 new features

As the official game of the 2024 MotoGP season, it should come as no surprise that MotoGP 24 will feature all the official riders and tracks of the 2024 season for the MotoGP, Moto2, and Moto3 championships as well as the Enel MotoE World Championship.

New to MotoGP 24 is the addition of a Riders Market, allowing you to transfer to different teams. This will mirror real-life changes like Marc Marquez's shock exit from Honda to Gresini Ducati.

Stewards will now also monitor the performance of AI riders, issuing penalties for unfair overtakes. In addition, MotoGP 24 will also feature enhanced physics and AI as well as a new LiveGP Championships multiplayer mode.

MotoGP 24 will be available on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.

With other developers focusing on current-gen hardware, fans wondered if MotoGP 24 would stick to the last-gen consoles. Despite Milestone's Hot Wheels Unleashed 2 - Turbocharged and RIDE 5 being current-gen only, MotoGP 24 will launch on PS4 and Xbox One as well as all current platforms.

This isn't surprising as other triple-a racing titles like F1 24 are still coming to PS4. However, it likely means that MotoGP 24's graphics and physics won't be a significant step forward.
