The FASTEST car build in Need for Speed Unbound: Beat the competition every time

Need for Speed Unbound boasts the largest car roster in the series yet, with over 140 cars from A$AP Rocky’s one-of-a-kind Mercedes-Benz 190E to the legendary BMW M3 GTR. But what is the fastest car build in Need for Speed Unbound?

With tuning and customisation, you can build the fastest car in the game and win every race.

For years, the Porsche 911 RSR has been the fastest car in the game in stock form - but that’s no longer the case. Without upgrades, the Koenigsegg Regera is the fastest car with a top speed of over 240 mph.

However, with tuning and customisation, you can push the performance envelope further and make the fastest car build in Need for Speed Unbound.

As shown by YouTuber Don Joewon Song, you can turn the Bugatti Chiron Sport into a 247 mph monster if you buy the right upgrades.

How to unlock the Bugatti Chiron Sport in Need for Speed Unbound

First, you need to buy the Bugatti Chiron Sport. Before you can do that, you need to unlock the S+ car class by progressing through the story mode.

The Bugatti Chiron Sport costs an eye-watering $3,665,000, so it isn't cheap. Thankfully, there are ways to earn money fast in Need for Speed Unbound.

At the time of writing, there’s a glitch that allows you to earn infinite money so make sure you have enough money saved up before attempting this car build.

Body parts

Once you’ve bought the Bugatti Chiron Sport, it’s time to upgrade it.

Start by equipping Speedhunters front fenders ($13,750), Speedhunters side skirts ($8,750), and Speedhunters rear fenders ($13,750.)

Next buy the Speedhunters spoiler ($15,000), the Speedhunters exhaust ($7,500), and the Speedhunters diffuser ($11,250).

Also equip the Speedhunters front bumper ($10,000), the Alchemist grille ($6,250), Carbon canards ($6,250), The Alchemist splitter ($10,000), Toyo Tyres Proxes Sport ($1,250), Speedhunters hood ($8,750).

In total, these custom parts will set you back $112,550.

Performance parts

After installing the cosmetic upgrades, it’s time to tune the performance. With so much extra power on tap, you’ll want the handling to be as stable as possible.

Start by going to the handling options and turn the grip up to 100 per cent. Turn the steering sensitivity up to around 80 per cent and turn the downforce all the way down.

After that, upgrading the engine parts will extract even more performance. In the Performance menu, go to Parts and install the Elite induction kit, ECU, fuel system, exhaust, roots supercharger, and nitrous.

For the chassis, install Elite suspension (road), brakes, and tyres (grip). As for the drivetrain, equip the Elite clutch, Super 7-speed gearbox, and differential. Finally, under Auxiliary upgrades equip the Super nitrous grip and Super nitrous near miss.

These upgrades have a profound effect on performance. As Don Joewon Song shows, installing these upgrades and using nitrous boost enables the Bugatti Chiron Sport to reach 247 mph and destroy the competition.

Ironically, this falls short of the car’s actual performance – in real life the Bugatti Chiron Sport has a top speed of 261 mph.
