Grab your pace notes and buckle up, the WRC Generations release date is getting close!
Kylotonn has revealed the release date, at least partially! So let's take a look at what we know so far.
Latest news - Gameplay videos showcase Japan and Sweden stages
As the release gets closer, Kylotonn has released two gameplay videos showcasing the Japan and Sweden stages. Behind the wheel are professional rally drivers Oliver Solberg and Takamoto Katsuta who show us how it's done!
The two rally drivers also get to grips with WRC Generations' revamped driving physics and hybrid Rally1 cars.
Hybrid Cars trailer lands
A new trailer for WRC Generations has landed showing off the new Rally1 hybrid cars in-game for the first time. The new Hybrid Cars trailer also shows how you'll need to manage the hybrid mapping and battery to get the most out of the new Rally1 cars.
WRC Generations release date
At the time of writing there is an official release date for WRC Generations, but only on a few platforms.
We know that WRC Generations will be available on 13 October 2022 on PS4 & PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
However, both PC and Nintendo Switch are currently labelled as arriving later.
It's a bizarre state for the PC version. Usually, that platform is the first to be solidified, with console versions being finished and published later.
Perhaps Kylotonn has encountered a problem, or maybe they have something special for PC players up their sleeves.

What about Switch?
The WRC series is a regular Switch port, but usually not until a few months after release.
WRC 10, the latest instalment, only hit the handheld Nintendo platform at the end of March. That was more than six months after the initial release.
As a result, Switch players shouldn't expect WRC Generations to be available until at least April 2023.
Most racing games launch with some form of early access baked into a premium edition, like F1 22 will later this year.
However, the WRC series does not usually do this. There has been no reveal so far of any premium edition, as we don't expect early access to be a feature for WRC Generations.
