After this, a video emerged on YouTube from Sick Nostalgia that showed all of the characters available in the game's beta. There were a few we hadn't seen before and these included:

  • Belle (Beauty and the Beast)
  • Elizabeth Swann (Pirates)
  • Mowgli & Baloo (Jungle Book)
  • Li Shang (Mulan)
  • Meg & Hercules (Hercules)

We've also had more characters from Monsters Inc. confirmed. Randall, Mike and Celia are all going to be in Speedstorm alongside Sulley. The most recent addition is Goofy, who was confirmed via a YouTube short on Speedstorm's channel.

We obviously won't see all of the enormous list of Disney-Pixar characters within the gameas there are so many, but there are some particular ones we'd love to see. The most obvious series is that of Pixar's Cars, but how that would work with Lightning McQueen and co. already being cars isn't clear.

Other Pixar series we'd like to see get an inclusion include Toy Story, The Incredibles, and Inside Out.

WHOLE NEW WORLD: There will be a lot of different environments to choose from

Disney owns a lot of other IP besides their own and Pixar's characters. Star Wars, Marvel, and Fox all fall under Disney's umbrella of subsidiaries. So, in theory, we could have Captain America racing against Darth Vader later this year. Is this likely to happen though? Well, it's hard to say, but given these other series didn't get a mention in the reveal, it's unlikely.

However, it is very possible that expansions or updates could bring these series to Speedstorm post-launch. Especially since the game has been confirmed to be free-to-play.
