Disney Speedstorm is out now in early access, but is there a Disney Speedstorm physical release for collectors and fans of the House of Mouse?

Given the worldwide popularity of the Disney IP, Disney Speedstorm is destined to be a huge hit. But can you buy a physical retail copy of Disney Speedstorm? Let’s find out.
Is there a Disney Speedstorm physical release?
Unfortunately, if you enjoy collecting physical games media and were hoping for a Disney Speedstorm physical release, we have bad news.
At the time of writing, there is no Disney Speedstorm physical release. The only way to own it is by buying one of the Founder’s Packs on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch digital stores.

+ 3With digital vastly outweighing physical game sales, many players prefer the convenience and accessibility of digital downloads. However, other players like the sense of ownership you get with physical games, so there is still a demand for physical games from collectors.
Owning a physical copy also means you can, in theory, own Disney Speedstorm forever - even if it’s removed from digital storefronts if licenses expire in the future.
While Disney Speedstorm is out in early access, it will eventually be free-to-play. If the game is popular, Disney Speedstorm could get a deluxe physical release containing bonus content after it leaves early access in late 2023 or early 2024.
click to enlarge + 3If so, Gameloft could release a physical special edition that bundles character and track DLC from the upcoming Seasons. We would also expect a physical edition to include Tokens and Golden Pass Credits for players who don’t want to grind or pay for DLC with microtransactions.
But while it’s certainly possible in the future, Gameloft hasn’t announced any plans for a Disney Speedstorm physical release yet. We’ll keep you updated if these plans change.
Early access out now
There are three digital-only Disney Speedstorm Founder’s Packs you can buy: Standard, Deluxe and Ultimate. In terms of pricing, the Standard Founders Pack costs £24.99, while the Deluxe and Ultimate packs will set you back £44.99 and £59.99 respectively in the UK.

We would expect a Disney Speedstorm physical release to replicate the Founder’s Packs with an entry-level Standard Edition and a more expensive Deluxe or Ultimate Edition, or possibly a collector's edition for hardcore fans.
Time will ultimately tell if Disney Speedstorm gets a physical release, but it may depend on sales of the Founder’s Packs.
